What kind of "course" is this?
The "course" is simply a particular Bible study curriculum that we follow together; this keeps it structured and objective, and there is a clear beginning and conclusion to the content.
What if I know I don't believe in the Bible but I am still interested in the course? I already believe something else, but I am curious about what the Bible says.
This course is open to those from all faiths. We are determined to communicate the core message of the Bible faithfully, but it is up to each individual make their own choice about what they will believe.
There is no requirement to endorse any specific church or organization. Whether you are devout in a particular faith or uncertain if you have a faith, and whether you are searching for answers to life's questions or your interest is purely academic, this course is designed to be compatible with and respectful to people that hold differing views.
Am I too young or too old? What ages is this course geared to?
This course is for any age. The intended audience is for teen-aged and adult learners, but the material can be understood by children as young as 10. Whether you are 10 years old to 100 years old, this course is designed to be easy to follow and understand.
Are there any prerequisites to taking the course? I have never picked up a Bible.
There are no prerequisites, thus no background Bible-knowledge is required. The material is presented in such a way that even if you have never picked up a Bible you will be fine.
Am I going to be bored? I have been to church and read the Bible before.
Many who come from a christianized background or who have previous Bible knowledge have still found this course helpful. The 'big-picture' approach allows learners to gain a clear grasp of the main theme that connects the entire Bible from beginning to end.
You might choose to come with a friend or family member who might also be curious about the Bible.
